I have a sinus infection right now and I am feeling pretty miserable. So, to lighten my mood, I am writing down a few funny things that have happened recently.
Mercedes loves to dress herself, although sometimes it takes a really long time. So, I usually end up "helping" her to the point of almost doing it myself. The other day, with much patience, I did allow her to completely dress herself with her shirt, skirt, and shoes. She was very proud of the accomplishment and came out to show daddy and Joshua. Joshua sincerely said, "wow, Mercedes, you'll be a big girl in no time at all".
Joshua was watching a Leap Frog episode that had sharks and pirates in it. Sorry if this offends anyone, but I thought it was funny. He kept referring to the captain as Captain Shart.
Mercedes had Luke on her lap the other day and was singing him a song. She took his hands to help him clap along with her like I do with her in storytime. I thought that was funny.
Joshua was "helping" me make lunch today when he stuck his hands into the sugar and spilled some on the floor. Shortly after I went to sweep it up. "Mom, why are you sweeping the floor?" "Because it's dirty, Joshua. Someone spilled the sugar." "Wow, Mom, you need to be more careful. You're not careful like boys are careful. Daddy is more careful than you."

Ralae...that is hilarious!!! I love that "captain shart" so funny. I miss my funions so much!!!! I can't even tell you. I wish i was there to hear/see all those funny things myself!!!!AAAhhhhh. sad.
Those are so cute!
I liked the last one especially because my Ian is always telling me things that boys (daddy particularly) are better at than girls. Where do they get that from? I guess I need to do some better girl PR in our house.
It's so funny that he sounded all wise and it was him who spilled it!
