Okay, So I just finished the third book in the series and can't wait to get my hands on the fourth one. However, I feel I must state my objections with the book. Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed reading the series, but I decided they aren't books that I'd necessarily allow my kids to read, without major edits completed, or until they are out of high school. Here are my reasons why:
1. What's up with the girl sneaking her boyfriend into her room at night??? I definitely wouldn't want my daughter to think that was okay.
2. I understand that overly dramatic relationships are quite popular with teenagers, however, I don't really want my kids to get the impression that suicide is acceptable after experiencing rejection. (I wouldn't want them to be having such a serious relationship until after the age of 18 anyway.)
3. What's up with Bella being against marriage and trying to seduce her boyfriend?
4. I wouldn't want my daughter to read the graphic love scenes, I wish they weren't so graphic.
Anyway, sorry for getting up on my soap box. I just had to see if anybody else felt the same way. Do I recommend reading them??? Well, yes and no. I have never been so involved in a book before and I will admit that they are addicting. So, yes, I would recommend reading them for the entertainment value, I just wish my copies had been edited. But, unless you are prepared for the ridiculousness of their very dramatic relationship, and you're prepared to skip some scenes (if they bother you as well), I wouldn't recommend them.
Anybody see what I mean??? Am I over-reacting? Regardless, I am looking forward to the movie that's coming out.

Its pretty good and hopeful she will continue to write and get it published :)
I have to agree. I don't think they are YA books. I wouldn't let my daughter read them until she is married, but I LOVE them!
I appreciate your opinion on the books. I've wondered why everyone seems to be addicted to them. I think I'll pass on reading them.
