Okay, this post is for Joshua's Uncle Nick. Nick is infamously known in the McAvoy family for teaching Joshua to imitate farting noises with his mouth. Although funny, I don't want my son to always be pretending to fart whenever someone else tries to let one slip by. Thankfully, this "trick" has kind of been forgotten since I have just ignored it instead of laughing at it. But, leave it to my brother in law to teach him yet another amazing boy talent.
Nick spent the whole car ride home last night teaching Joshua how to make the sound in the back of the throat that someone makes when they're trying to hock a loogey. DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!! Joshua thought it was hilarious and kept trying to get the sound just right. Nick reinforced the behavior, proud of himself no doubt, for having such a quick-witted apprentice, by giving Joshua high fives each time he tried. I am hoping that after ignoring it for a while, this too will disappear. Oh, Nick, what can I say? How about this, unsupervised visitation will not be instituted anytime soon!

Ralae, that is hilarious!!!! Before you start not reinforcing the behavior you should definetly get it on video!! And see if he'll make the farting noise one more time so you can get that too. Then you can ignore it. (You will love watching it later, I promise. Like when Joshua brings a potential spouse over. That would be really fun!!!!!!!)
