Pregnant Belly

I'm big. I'm fat. I've already reached the max weight gain and I still have 5 weeks. As far as I know, I only have one baby in there-- and it is a human baby. It definitely feels large, and I am definitely sore... 5 more weeks people, 5 more weeks... This is the home stretch. If I can do this, I can do anything.

This belly is so big that I have almost lit myself on fire three times when I lean over our gas stove. I try to squeeze in between people in a crowd and end up hitting them across the room with it. My son's head has been hit on more than one occasion, I promise not on purpose, and when I roll over in bed it feels like I am a beached whale. It all comes with the territory. 35 weeks pregnant and counting.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to having my body to myself again. I want to get back down to my prepregnancy size (and hopefully shape). I know I complain, but this baby really is awesome... I can already tell. The baby likes hip music, and I think he or she has some rythym. Baby's big, so it will make a great athelete (if it turns out to be a boy). The baby has already won the affection of it's brother (who is insistent the it is a girl). Someday I hope it will win the affection of Mercedes, but alas, that time is not yet at hand. And daddy already feels bonded. And me, well, I already love this little guy or gal and I am excited to meet him (or her).

***My bet is it's a girl...

Ralae!

I am so excited for you! 5 weeks is NOTHING (well, it will certainly be uncomfortable all that ... but it really is the home stretch! Hooray!)

I love your belly shape. And I love that you will be surprised with the gender when you meet him/her. I can't wait to find out.
