Man, I have posted quite a bit today. Here are a few more things I wanted to journal before I went to bed and forgot. First things first... here is my super flattering unflattering picture of my 31 week pregnant belly. I am now 32 weeks, and if it's possible, I am even bigger now than I was in the picture of last week. Anyway, this baby likes to use my ribs as monkey bars, poke and prod around inside my pelvis, and I swear the baby does jumping jacks at night time when I am trying to sleep. Anyway, here is a shot of my belly for your laughing pleasure.
Mercedes has adopted a new habit. It's cute and annoying all at the same time. She has recently decided that she is attached to her blanket. It's not the blanket in the picture. That was a stand in for the one that Great Grandma Haws made for her (that was being washed for the gazillioneth time). She doesn't just carry it around, she wants it covering her head (like a ghost kind of). It's weird, but I think she's still sane. She'll cuddle with you FOREVER if she has her blanket wrapped around her. Sometimes she likes to be swaddled in it (like a newborn). Do you think this new activity is a result of the upcoming birth and all of the talk and excitement surrounding it???? She is so naughty and so funny at the same time. Something naughty, that isn't so funny, is that she has been sneaking in to the bathroom when Joshua has to go number 1 and she pops the bubbles in the toilet that he makes when he goes number 1. Yeah, I almost threw up too. It's absolutely disgusting and I treat her like she's been exposed to radiation upon discovery. I told Joshua that he must close the bathroom door when he needs to go, trouble is, she knows how to open it and he doesn't know how to lock it. GRRR! That girl is always into things that are not good for her! She is full of personality and is quite funny most of the time however.
Here is my goofy Joshua--who I broke the news to yesterday that trains really don't talk like they do on Thomas. It wasn't a Santa doesn't exist moment, not quite, in fact--I'm not sure he believes me. But, I think he was taken aback by the news. He's a funny boy who has taken to pretending like he is a frog and he hops around all day. But, when he gets tired of hopping, he flaps his wings and becomes a flying frog. It's funny. He's got an imagination. The other day we took them out to eat and they were both terrible. When we got home, Jon Mark said to Joshua that he was going to take him to Target to get a surprise but not after the way he acted at the restaurant. Joshua then said, "but daddy, I didn't know that!" So, we had a little chat about how we should do what is right because it's the right thing to do, not just when we will be rewarded and yadda yadda yadda. Anyway, that night his prayer went something like this:
"Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for this day. Thank you that I have my train set and my baby monkey, and that I got to play with Lilly and Mag. But, I went out to eat and I wasn't good at listening. Daddy was going to take me to Target to get me a prize but then said he couldn't get me a prize because I didn't eat my dinner. Please help me to get a prize from Target...."
Love my kiddos and the joy they bring.

Joshua is hilarious. I miss talking with him and watching him in action with his imagination. I still want to throw up when I read about Mercedes and the toilet. Miss you
