So, the other day, I was thinking that it would be nice if I were able to find a small desk to put my computer on. I had been thinking about it quite a bit, and wouldn't you know that I found this beauty in the trash on Monday?!
I think Joshua spotted it first. He is quite the trash picker these days (yes, I did that to my son). He's the only one who gets as excited as me on trash day, "maybe we'll find some treasures, Mommy." Anyway, I almost didn't pick it up. It was very rainy the night before, the desk was pretty grody, and I had a trunk full of groceries. I saw the garbage truck just a few houses away and had to make a quick decision. Well, the deciding factor was that it was solid wood... if you know me, you know I can't pass up solid wood. So, I hoisted it up (trying to avoid my pregnant belly) and hauled it away. I washed it, sanded it, primed it, painted it, stained the top, fixed the drawer, and finally applied a coat of poly on it for a finishing effect. I LOVE IT!!! I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out. What about you?

Can you come help me???? where do you find time as a mom to do that? I have a nightstand, dresser, and crib that I want done, but the thought of just starting those projects stresses me out. You are amazing. And I LOVE the way it turned out.
I think who ever threw that away would be heart broken if they saw it now!! It's LOVELY!!
