Red Hair and a Prayer

This post is to serve two purposes.  The first, and the least important, is to show you that I dyed my hair red.  I have always been blond and needed a change.  My sister inlaw, Jessica was in town (yipee) and so she did it for me.  I think she did a great job... although I think the dye is washing out a little because when I wash it the water has red in it.  It is supposed to be permanant.  So, here we are setting up our tree with my new color: RED!

Yes, that is my little girl... I realize she looks like a little boy in the picture because of her blue shirt.

Putting up the star.

Assembling the tree.

Now is when I need to ask for your prayers in behalf of my cousin Karisa.  Karisa is 24 weeks along with twins.  She went into labor a few days ago and they had a difficult time stopping the labor.  They are making her lie upside down (literally) because her cervix is completly dilated and she is 100% effaced.  She has been upside down for quite a while (a couple of days), they won't even let her up to go to the bathroom or eat.  They are wanting her to be upside down as long as possible to prolong the pregnancy and give these babies the best chance of survival they can get.  You can imagine how Karisa is feeling.  Last night was horrible for her.  She is in a lot of pain, she describes it as though her whole body has been in a train wreck.  She is now having difficulty breathing because of the awkward and painful position she is in, being upside down has caused her to have water in her lungs.  She may be forced to be upright soon because her own life may be at risk.  If she is upright, there is a good chance that the doctors and nurses will not be able to hold off the birth of the babies.  The chances of the babies surviving if born this early are not great, and if they do live, there will most likely be some long term complications or disorders.  Please say a prayer for Karisa and her babies.

The red hair is gorgeous- I've been thinking of doing that sometime. Sorry about the potty training being so hard. Those little kids have a way of being very stubborn, don't they?

I love your hair, it looks great on you.

I had no idea about Karissa! That's awful. Please keep me posted (email). Oh, poor girl.
