I Quit

In the words of my sister, "I am a potty training dropout!".  Yes, after nearly two months of cleaning up messes, being on the receiving end of blows to my shins as I carry my son to the potty, dropping everything at the store to race to the nearest restroom just to find that he did not hold it, and only experiencing a few days of success (no accidents), I am throwing in the towel.  My stubborn little boy has won this battle and has bought himself another month or two in diapers.  I just don't know what to do anymore.  Nothing has worked.  I find myself feeling derranged and frustrated as I scrub the floor for the gazillionth time.  Yes, for now, I am a potty training drop out.

I HATE potty training! I loath the uncertainty every time we leave the house or worse, hang out at someone elses house where their carpet can be caught in the crossfire! Diapers are so superior. Enjoy those extra few months of diapers!

Oh! I am sorry Raylay. But, I am sure the second time around when he is ready will be a piece of cake. Hang in there.

No worries...Robby will be three in February and I haven't even attempted potty training at the moment. I am thinking sometime this spring :) I know with Maddie I waited until she was fully ready and she was cake to potty train. Then again I am sure Robby will be much harder. Good luck!

I'm with you! I haven't even attempted it because of stories like this! Maybe after Christmas? Have fun and enjoy the holidays and the easiness of diapers!

No worries Ralae. Just wait until he's ready, that is the best way. Now, I don't know if he has to be PT for kindergarten soon but if not keep asking him(and promising goodies ;-) and he'll tell you when he's ready. It took about a week or so for Loic but I waited very close to his 3rd birthday...
