I have A LOT of posts to do to catch up on the last few days. My parents were here. My mom surprised me by coming out, I originally believed that only my dad would be able to attend the baby blessing (although there were some slips which caused me to hope that perhaps my mom was coming too). It was a nice surprise, and we had a lot of fun. I am glad that both of my parents were able to be with us. I wish everyone was able to live closer together.
So, I need to post pictures from their trip, pictures of Joshua's birthday party, pictures from Luke's blessing day, and some other pictures that we took a few days ago. But, for now I will just post these. These are pictures of Luke in his blessing outfit. I know I already had a photoshoot with Luke, but I really wanted one of him in his blessing outfit (I have photos with my other kids that are like these). So, Jon Mark took a few shots and I edited them. I love them!
In the blessing (luckily a sister missionary wrote it down for me) Luke was blessed to grow strong and healthy, and he was blessed with spiritual strength. He blessed that he would seek guidance from his family in the decisions he would make and for spiritual guidance as well. He was blessed to serve a mission and live gospel principles, and that he would be led to those who were desirous to know the truth. He was blessed to marry a righteous woman in the temple and that he'd be able to receive guidance for his family. And he was blessed to serve in the church. It was a beautiful blessing and I am thankful for a husband who honors his priesthood so that he is able to bless our children. In the circle, along with my father, were the men Jon Mark serves with in elder's quorum. I also invited my friend, and landlord, Pat.
