Pictures Coming Soon

I have a minute so I thought I'd give an update.  We're here!  We made it to Ohio.  After driving for three days (and fighting the urge to fall asleep) we made it safely, but not without a few hitches.  Here is most everything that went wrong:

-Tires get slashed one week prior to the move, causing us to replace the tire.
-One week prior to moving I stepped on Jaron's glasses and broke them in half.
-I also lost my brand new cell phone and had to find a replacement only to discover that I lost it in Utah under our friend's trampoline (which wouldn't be so bad if it hadn't rained a bunch that week).
-Car breaks down entirely the day before the move (and has broken down again since being here, costing a total of almost seven hundred dollars to fix so far)
-Budget Truck forgets to pack a moving dolly.
-Budget truck trailer breaks down and we have to wait on a mechanic before we can even leave.  We eventually rolled out at 4 in the afternoon--which was MUCH later then we had planned.
-We roll into our first hotel at about five or six in the morning AZ time (about nine or so Texas time).
-We sleep for about two hours or so (not nearly enough time to feel rested) and then we hit the road again.
-We drive all day and well into the night, pull into our next hotel in Missouri at about two AM AZ time, sleep for four hours and hit the road again (I tell Jon Mark that the hotel workers are surely thinking that I am a lady of the night that charges by the hour because who pulls into the hotel for four hours max?!).
-Drive again, fighting the urge to sleep.  The reason why we had to drive like we did is because we had the elders quorum waiting for us and hotel rooms prepaid.  We pulled up to our new house at 7:45 and we were relieved when we saw so many people to stuck around to help us move.
-Jon Mark loses wallet after the car breaks down again.
-Jon Mark loses me as we are driving somewhere in sepparate cars and of course I forgot to bring my cell phone, the GPS is with Jon Mark, and I suddenly realize that I have no clue where I am.  I said a lot of prayers, and thankfully I was able to find my way back home.
-Our bed, dresser, and box spring will NOT fit in any bedroom or in the basement.  We finally did cram the mattress upstairs, but we had to go and purchase a new box frame that came apart in order to move it upstairs, my bed frame is in the garage and we were able to fit the dresser into Joshua's room.  But, once again, Jon Mark and I will not have a dresser.  We have never in our five years of marriage been able to have a dresser that fits into our room.
-It took a lot of work to get our air to work and we had to learn how to change out the two prong light outlets to three prong.

That list is long, and it got to the point where when one more thing went wrong, Jon Mark and I just looked at each other and almost had to laugh at the irony of it.  So, this move has cost us A LOT of money and we are feeling the pressures of it, but a lot of good has come about too.  So, on to my list of the many tender mercies the Lord has blessed us with.

-Our neighbors are old friends from BYU.  James was our hometeacher when we were newly weds and when he said goodbye to us before we left for AZ, both Jon Mark and I felt like we would be in his ward again someday.  So, when a house came available right next door to the Gaskins, we knew that it was where we needed to be.
-Nikki and I are going to become great friends.  We were friends before, but being neighbors and stay at home moms together, I just know we'll get really close.
-James and Nikki have seriously done so much for us.  They helped us before the move and after in so many ways (helping us move in, arranging help, installing our washing machine, fixing us dinner, bringing us over groceries, helping us find a mechanic, helping us install our a/c, and the list goes on).
-A nice man found Jon Mark's wallet and called us about it.
-Our parents have been so helpful to us in a lot of ways.
-Our house is so charming and big compared to our previous apartments.
-Joshua and Mercedes have seemed to adjust pretty well so far (although my parents are still here so we will have to see what happens).
-Luckily we had money in savings or all of these added expenses.
-Our landlord is perhaps the best landlord that's out there.
-Nikki's kids are the same ages as mine.
-I am finally starting to find my way around without feeling completly lost.

I will write a post with pictures later.  That's all for now.
