Happy Third Birthday, Gavin!

It's hard to believe that Gavin would be three this week.  It's funny how time marches on.  No matter how happy or sad you may be, time continually marches on.  We celebrated Gavin's birthday on May 17th.  We had his favorite foods: hot dogs and blueberries.  We ate green rice krispie treats (he was allergic to milk and eggs--hence no cake, and his favorite color was green).  We wore green that day, except I noticed that Mercedes did not own any green clothing, so she doned a green head band.  I think maybe I should venture out of all things pink and blue and add more colors to her wardobe.

Here is Joshua with his mouth covered in ketchup--his "dip" of choice.  Nick and Great Grandma are also in this picture.  Nick: "I wonder if there is a fake cockroach laying around that I can torment Ralae with.  I do so enjoy tormenting her."
"Don't bother me... I'm eating." --Jon Mark  Okay, he really said, "Why do you always take pictures right when I put something in my mouth?"  And I said, "Because it's funny."
Mercedes: "DADAADADDADADADADADADADAAA!"  Translation: "these potatoe chips are amazing.  Why didn't you tell me about these before?!"
Kevin: "Wow, hot dogs are my favorite!"  Good thing he doesn't know that he looks like such a nerd in this picture.  Ahhhh, Kevin, I'm just joking... kind of.
Dad: "Eating hot dogs is a serious business.  Is there food on my chin?"
Mom: "Hi Michelle, Jessica, and Jaron.  Ralae is taking my picture right now."  She is on speaker phone with the Utah crew.
Joshua: Is it time to open presents yet?"
Jon Mark: "Foam dice?  Isn't that a choking hazard or something?"
Joshua: "Presents are totally awesome!"
"Well, we don't have candles, so let's show Joshua how to play with matches instead."  Actually, we used the matches in place of candles and Joshua blew them out.  Three "candles".
Jon Mark: "This girl is heavy!  Be sure to get my good side, Ralae... on second thought, every side is my good side because I am what sexy is!"
Mercedes: "Daddy, you have such a good self-esteem... and I am NOT that heavy!  Suck it up man!"
Kevin: "The floating dice of doom!"
Ralae: "A million pictures and not one picture of me?!"  Jon Mark: "I'll take your picture."
Ralae: "See my green rice krispie treat?"
Ralae: "Okay, I think that's enough pictures of me, you can put it down now."  Jon Mark: "No way, I am going to take lots of pictures of you doing absolutely nothing."  He proceeded to take lots more unflattering pictures of me to be funny.  I guess it serves me right for drawing attention to the fact that there weren't any pictures of me.

Happy Birthday Gavin!  We love you and we miss you!

Yes, that was Jon Mark. I would have never done something like that! :)
