Luke on Christmas Morning

Luke got a bike for Christmas.  He loves it.  He can ride it really well.  He seems to catch on fast to things that require a lot of coordination.  He is a little fearless, too, which helps.

Lately, he is in a phase of wanting to wear a jingle bell all of the time.  He loves the show called, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, and in that show, a little girl wears a necklace around her neck with pixie dust in it.  It's only for emergencies, and when they encounter an emergency she uses the pixie dust and declares, "pixie dust away!"  Luke likes that part.  When we got the Christmas décor out, he saw the jingle bell necklaces and thought that they resembled the pixie dust necklace.  So, he wore a jingle bell necklace everyday in the month of December.  He'd walk around the house yelling, "pixie dust away!"

He's such a sweet, cuddly little guy.  When he is having an ornery day, I have to stop and ask myself if I had cuddled with him much that day.  Usually, that's the problem.  So, I sit and I cuddle with him for a few minutes and he is usually much better behaved afterward.  He just really needs that bonding time in order to feel loved and appreciated.

The other day, he walked around the house with a blanket tied around his waist yelling, "Let me go!" over and over again because it made Joshua and Mercedes laugh so hard.  The correct phrase is "let it go" and it comes from the movie, Frozen, which is all the rage with my kids right now.  Jessica took them to the movie while she was in town a couple of weeks ago.  They loved it and ask to watch clips from it everyday on Youtube.

Even Joshua? I thought he wasn't a fan.
