It's been a month, and I haven't written.
Here is a quick update (really quick cuz I am on a tablet device, and not a computer).
Joshua is getting so big. He swims so stinking' well. He seriously is good at it. I am amazed at how much he has grown over the last few months. He looks like a big kid, acts like a big kid... I guess he is kinda a big kid. Today he told me that he thought of another safe place to go if ever there was an earthquake. He told me to go on a bridge. His thinking was that on a bridge you'd be safe because you're over the earth and not on the earth. I told him that he demonstrated very good reasoning skills, however the bridge is anchored in the earth. Anyway, his other safe location is in outer space. That's also a very good option. LOL. He amazes me with his thinking skills. And, just so you know, the safest place to go when there is a tornado is on a mountain.
Mercedes is also very good at swimming. She hasn't quite mastered breathing on her side, so it does look like she is drowning every time she takes a breath. In fact, yesterday a lifeguard jumped in to "save" her. When she takes a breath she goes vertical and sticks just her face out of the water. For the most part, she is always in control, but it does look scary at times. She loves jumping off of the diving board and doing tricks like the "ballerina" or the "mermaid". She is absolutely fearless. She has spunk, she knows what she likes, and she is dramatic.
Luke loves the water too. But, what he loves most is singing and dancing to "who let the dogs out". It's really cute. His whole face lights up whenever music gets turned on (that song in particular), and he has to stop whatever he is doing so that he can begin to show off his dance skills. And, let me tell you, he's got SKILLZ! Too bad we won't be signing him up for any dance classes. He can spin, walk backwards, tippy-toe, clap and slap his knees, throw his hands up in the air and wave them around like he just don't care... His personality is really coming out. He is stubborn and has some anger management issues :) He loves to eat, and isn't all that picky. Up until two days ago, his favorite food was bananas. He'd shove a whole banana into his mouth and then hold his lips closed while he ate it. He can say: mom dad more up ow whoa 'who let the dogs out? who who who who who', and I swear I heard him say, "sit down" today.
Jon Mark is taking one portion of the bar this Friday. He won't be taking the rest of it until after he graduates next May. I can't believe he only has a year left. He is really enjoying his internship. He has recently proven his youthfulness by completely a one and a half off of the diving board.
I am doing awesome also. I enjoy spending time with the kids all day. My insomnia is getting better. I am therefore learning how to control my powerful mind. And, let me tell you, it is powerful. HAHA. I haven't done much painting or sewing, but I have helped my mom redo her bathroom. That's been fun and rewarding... especially since it's not my wallet that is being affected. :) I have enjoyed swimming with the kids and trying to help my nephew learn how to swim. Michelle and Jaron (Jessica was, but is now gone) were in town, and we've enjoyed getting to know Sawyer and Barrett better. Mercedes thinks she gets to marry Sawyer. When I told her that she couldn't because they were cousins, she then determined that she's marry Tyler. Umm, same problem there. It's a good thing that she's not going to be getting married for another twenty years or so, because the next choice was Jon Mark. Silly girl.
Well, this is long. And, in case you were wondering, I switched from the tablet to my computer...
