I'm Still Alive

I'm still alive.  I still don't have the energy to post pictures (it's on my to-do list, however).  Sorry.  But, I wanted to write a quick note to say I'm alive.  I've been having so much fun with my kids lately (and Jon Mark... he's been slacking a little on studying as much as he has been this semester, and so we've done a lot of family activities)... and as a result, I have spent less time on the computer and less time watching TV (not like I do huge amounts of time with technology anyway).  In fact, I just barely found out this weekend about the new scanners and pat-down requirements at the airports.  And, like you, I think it's a little bit of an over kill.  But, whatchagonnado?

1. I love how funny my kids are.  They say and do soooo many funny things, it's hard not to laugh at them (Joshua doesn't quite understand that I am laughing at his cuteness and not making fun of him).

2. Joshua is Spiderman.  He really is... or at least he truly believes he is.  He's got such a strong imagination.  He can show you just how he changes into Spiderman from being Joshua (pulls up his shirt because his "Spiderman Costume" is underneath, then pretends to pull on his mask and put on his gloves).  All of this is pretend of course.  He isn't really wearing a costume under his clothes, but it is funny to watch.

3. Mercedes nods her head and says "yes" to almost any question you ask her.  "Are you hungry?"  "Yes, yes."  "Do you think you're beautiful?"  "Yes."  "Is Mommy the best mommy ever?"  "Yes."  See what I mean... it's totally awesome.  She really does understand most anything you say and she can follow most simple directions, unless she doesn't feel like it, which happens most of the time :).  She likes to show people her belly, and she likes to say hi to everyone at the store.  She thinks she is as old as Joshua, and therefore, she rebels if she can't do everything he gets to do (such as walking in the grocery store instead of being forced to sit in the cart... the thing she hates most of all... sitting).

4.  We cannot come up with a boy name AT ALL!  Jon Mark needs some serious therapy so that he sees that the names I like are actually wonderful names, and the names he likes are crazy names.  I'm sorry, but I just can't name my sweet newborn "Titan".

5.  Mercedes is capable of taking Joshua down, rolling him over, and then sitting victoriously on top of him.  Of course he thinks this is hilarious, but I wonder how he'd feel if he were to realize that she isn't necessarily playing, but she is in fact trying to prove her dominance.  She's quite a tenacious little girl.

6.  I have my ultrasound for this baby soon.  Dec. 8 at 7 am.  We're not finding out the sex.  That's why I need both a boy name and a girl name... oh man!

Hi Ralae! I had fun just now catching up on your life. You're so brave to not know the sex of your baby, and you're right about Titan not being a good boy name! I hope your lip feels better soon!

Ralae, I think that you should have the ultrasound lady put a picture of the sex of the baby in an envelope that you don't see and then mail it to me. I promise I won't tell anyone...:)
