Moving... stressful, time consuming, emotional, and bittersweet.
As we move closer and closer to moving day, my heart can't help but feel so many different emotions.
--I'm happy that Jon Mark got into a good law school and we are now one step closer to being settled. This move is move #8 in our five years of marriage (since we are technically moving twice because of the way our lease ended--otherwise #7).
--I'm scared that I won't be able to cope with the long, super cold winters that I have heard so much about.
--I'm worried that I will be lonely when Jon Mark starts school because I've heard I won't see much of him while he is in school.
--I'm overwhelmed by all of the many things that need to get done before we leave, and all of the things that need to happen when we get there. From making last minute doctor's appointments, to finding new doctor's and all of the wonderful tasks in between, I have a to-do list that is super long, super urgent, and super boring to blog about.
--I'm excited for the new adventure of being on our own and in such a pretty place (or so I have been told by many people).
--I'm anxious about how poor we will really be. Let's just say, there's no way around being on government assistance. And health insurance... well, let's just say we won't be able to afford it. Yes, our great lack of future finances makes me have great anxiety, I can't dwell on it too much because I may have difficulty breathing, and then I will pass out... that wouldn't be pretty, so moving right along.
So, there you have it... I am a happy, scared, worried, overwhelmed, excited, and anxious woman! And that is what makes me absolutly CRAZY!
Happy moving, everybody!

Ralae, I have told you before how excited (and a little jealous) I am for you. I know it seems hard to be away from family and to be somewhere where it's really cold. And I know how stressful it is to move across country - we've done it and it was stressful but so worth it and so awesome! Good luck with moving and getting everything sorted out. Enjoy it! I'm sure you will look back on your years in Ohio with so much fondness! Good luck!!! And poor is hard too but there are great things about that as well! :)
I loved this post -- you McAvoys are embarking on such an exciting and life changing adventure. It is going to be so worth the effort, down to every last penny-pinching moment! I can't wait to hear more as you guys get settled in Ohio. Good luck with the move! I wish I was close enough to pack few boxes for you!
Thank goodness you blog, so we can still stay in touch when you're half way across the country!! That's got to be pretty stressful for sure. Wow. But it is a step closer to being done and settled like you said! Good luck!
Suck it up or rub some dirt on it.
