Newest Painting: Mercedes

So, I had painted a picture of Joshua a while back that you can see HERE and I felt I needed to do a similar one of Mercedes to go on the wall underneath it.  I took this picture of Mercedes to base it off of :

I changed the color of the dress to match Joshua's picture.  And, I changed the background.  I wanted to have the color blue in the picture, so I gave it a lot of sky.  I also changed the headband to a hat because I couldn't figure out how to do the headband without it looking like I forgot to put on a face.  I am an amatuer afterall.  Anyway, for my first time working with oil paint as a medium, I am pleased with the result.  A recent flower picture of mine is in the background as well :)
