Two More Cute Jesus Stories, Sleep Already, and Pictures!

So, it appears as though (as my sister inlaw put it) Joshua's new "imaginary" best friend is Jesus.  I guess that's good, or bad, I'm not really sure.  I love that he know who Jesus is, and I love that Joshua seems to really like Jesus, but he's now saying things that "Jesus says" just to get what he wants.  The following story illustrates this perfectly.

We were at my inlaws last Sunday for Sunday dinner.  We were having pork sandwiches along with potato chips and veggies.  Being the picky eater (man, that's an understatement) that he is, he didn't want to eat anything for dinner except for the chips.  I told him many times that he wasn't allowed to have any more potato chips until he at least showed me some effort in eating his pork sandwich.  Several minutes pass, Joshua is still staring at the large bowl of chips and is scowling at his own dinner.  I guess that was when his plot unfolded.  With innocent eyes, he turns to me and says, "Mommy, Jesus talked to Joshua.  Jesus said Joshua could have more potato chips."  Sorry kid, that was cute, but it's still not going to happen.  If only personal revelation worked that way!

The other cute thing is this: Joshua claims Jesus's last name is McAvoy.  HAHA!  I guess I married well!

As for Lady M.... oh, my sweet sweet girl.  I am so sorry that I was frustrated and tried to make you "cry it out" last night after you woke me up a gazillion times!  I should have checked your diaper sooner.  I smelled you, apparently you have sweet smelling poop because all I smelled was fabric softner.  Poor thing.  I'm sure you were angry with me.  Your clothes certainly are not showing me any compassion... let's hope they wash clean after I show them some TLC with Shout to get the stains out.  Yes, that should have been another clue... wet, poopy clothes.  I didn't feel it until I took off your wearable blanket.  I'm sorry, sweetheart!  In my defense, if you didn't "cry" wolf all the time, and you learned how to sleep through the night, then perhaps I would have taken you more seriously (you are six months old--for heaven's sake!).  No, I am not going to blame this on you, I'm the one at fault.  I love you!

They don't get much cuter than this.  Her shirt says "Hug ME" that's exactly what I want to do when I see this picture.

My little Baby Girl on Christmas Sunday.

I kept trying to get them to cooperate at the same time.  It was hard.

This one turned out pretty good.  They weren't smiling at the same time.

This picture describes what was really going on.

One of Joshua's fav.'s for Christmas.  He got his train set.

On the swing Christmas morning.

We look tired.  But, we were having fun.  Jon Mark bought me a Tap Out shirt as a joke.  He did do really well this Christmas and got me some very sentimental presents.  Tapout wasn't one of them, but I like it anyway.

These are my latest paintings.  The hand is not quite right, but I like it for the most part.  I based it off of a picture of Joshua at the Frost Ranch.

You painted that? I am very impressed! I could never paint that well. I can't wait to see more paintings.
