Gotta love vacation time... even if your vacation is a staycation. My experience vacationing with a child has always proved to be more work than staying home. Pack-n-plays have to be hauled all over the place, nap schedules get out of whack, kids whine and have difficulty sleeping, and thus a vacation turns out to be more work. This summer we stayed home and let the vacationers come to us (didn't really have much of a choice seeing that Mercedes had just reached the 6 week mark while they were all in town). Jaron, Michelle, Sawyer, Jessica, Mark, Aimee, and Dakota, all traveled down from Utah to join us in Arizona. The purpose of the trip was to see my sister inlaw (Jessica) go through the temple for the first time. It was wonderful to go with her. But, while they were here, we also had the opportunity to get Mercedes blessed and we were able to meet our new nephew, Sawyer (he's beautiful, Michelle!). Joshua celebrated his 2nd birthday early so that his aunts and uncle could be in town, the lucky kid gets three parties this year!

Days were filled with eating out, swimming, going to the AZ Science Center, watching movies, and going shopping. Joshua loved the pool most of all. He and Dakota had so much fun jumping off of the diving board at my inlaws house. He misses his little girlfriend!

We also let a balloon go to heaven with messages for Gavin written on it. Gavin's angel day was on the 10th. We love you, Michelle and Jaron, you're in our prayers.

It looks like you have been having a fun summer. That is so fun that you got to have some family come into town. I love family visits! Mercedes is beautiful in her blessing dress!
