Blowing Bubbles

I post this video for all who need to lighten up. I am constantly amazed at a child's ability to find humor and joy in the smallest of things. If you regularly read my blog, you'll know that my son is no exception to this. He loves to laugh (he loves to pout too, but that's for another day!). Joshua has such a gut laugh that starts in his belly and by the time it starts going, it turns into a million giggles. You can't help but smile when he's in a laughing mood. Like I have said before, when it's bedtime, Joshua is in one of two moods... extra giggly, or extra cranky. I prefer the first of the two options. Such was his mood when this video was taken. Joshua's grandma McAvoy recently introduced him to bubbles. She bought him a bubble pipe so that he is able to blow the bubbles himself. This tiny invention has increased Joshua's bubble fascination 10 fold! My mother and father inlaw travel to Utah a lot, but because Nick still lives at home, we are sometimes over at their house when they're away. One Sunday when my inlaws were out of town, Joshua found this bubble pipe and snuck it out of the house. I found it in with his toys a few days later. We took it out, added some "bubble juice" and shot this video. Oh, the things we learn from our children... 1. Lighten up and have some fun. 2. Even bubbles are funny. 3. When you want to post-pone bedtime, act really cute so your parents pull out the video camera and forget all about what time it is. Here's my cute little boy putting on a bubble show for you!
