The Results!

So, I went in for my ultrasound today to find out if Joshua is going to have a new brother or sister. I don't really have any fancy, suspense-filled way of telling it, so I'll just come right out with it.... We are very excited to announce that we will be having a little girl come join our family!!! I thought it would be. Everytime we asked Joshua if Heavenly Father was sending us a boy or a girl he'd answer "girl"--EVERY SINGLE TIME! We'd even change up the way we asked him. Maybe he knew, or maybe he just likes saying the word "girl". But, whatever it was, Joshua was right.

I'm very excited to be having a girl. I love little boys, but I wanted to be sure that I just got at least one girl. And now, I'll never have to worry about that again. It will be interesting to see how Joshua reacts to his new sister (he's a bit attached to me these days).

Looks like I'll need to be hitting up a few garage sales seeing how I have very little girl items. My sister in law, Jessica, gave me my first item of baby girl clothing a couple of years ago (she was hopeful for a neice). It was a pair of baby pink BYU socks. Very cute!

It's a tradition for Jon Mark and I to go straight to Walmart after finding out the gender and we purchase an outfit that is gender specific to bring the baby home from the hospital in. With Joshua, we bought a onesie that had a football on it. This time we bought a onesie that says, "Daddy's little princess". We're excited.
