Halloween and Recovery

Before Joshua's surgery, we went to my parent's trunk or treat carnival. He had a great time with his cousins. It was a lot more fun this year, since he was old enough to play some of the games and get excited about the candy.

After his surgery, we thought about dressing him up as Frankinstein to pass candy out to the trick or treaters. He is recovering nicely. The swelling is no longer present as it was a few days ago. I'm wishing now that I had taken a picture of him when his swelling was at an all-time high (his eye was almost swollen shut). It would have made for a good scrapbook page. But, I didn't. He doesn't seem to be in much pain anymore. Occassionally he will pat the side of his head and say, "ouch" but that's it. I think he's looking for sympathy when he does that. We'll have a follow-up appointment on Wednesday to hopefully find out what it was that they took out.

He is so cute!!! I love the Superman outfit! And his poor little head!! That was a cute idea. Jaron and I were a family of Angels. We figured that Gavin had no choice as to what he could dress up as so we dress to match him. And yes Jaron was so cute and actually put "manly" wings on for 2 minutes. Long enough for 1 picture. I'll have to post it later. Give Joshua a great big kiss for us.
