Blast from the Past!

So, today was a good day. For those of you who knew me in high school, you may have known me as this boy-crazy girl. I graduated back in 2000 when cell phones were at the start of their popularity, and DVD players were almost unheard of. If you knew me in high school, you would also know that I had a particular friend by my side at all times, who's name was Stacey Garrison. Stacey and I were very close friends throughout junior high and high school. We lived for Saturday night dances, make-up, and new hairstyles. We were your average teenage girls, and we were inseparable.

I can't believe so much time has passed since those days. It seems like yesterday when Stacey and I would write notes in code and pass to each other in between classes. I had missed Stacey for a while. But then this weekend I ran into her mom and she gave me Stacey's number. We talked just like old friends. Today, Stacey, Nicolle, and I went to lunch together and reminisced about old times and watched this hilarious video that I will now explain to you in minor detail. And don't worry, Stacey, I will go to my grave with all of the major details!

In high school, Stacey and I made this video! It's super funny now, although at the time we were being dead serious. It was our time capsule. Everything was in that video. We spilled our guts about who we liked, what our first dates were like, and any struggles we were having at the time. On the video, we danced, and cheered, and made silly commercials. The video was meant to capture our friendship on film and preserve it for years to come. Luckily we didn't bury the video (although, some would argue that it definitely ought to be destroyed) because back then we used nothing but VHS, and the Arizona sun would have melted it. Instead, it sat on a shelf in my parents house until my dad decided to transfer all VHS over to DVD! You can imagine my embarrassment! Ten years later, we watched that video and laughed our heads off!

It was a great day! Oh, how I've missed Stacey! Thanks for the good times. Here's to more memories in the making!
