Photo Shoot For JM's Office

Lindsay came over the other day and suggested that we do a photo shoot.  She needed new pictures of all of the grandkids for a Christmas present she was giving to our mom.  It was spur of the moment, and I thought it would be nice to give Jon Mark some photos to put in his NEW OFFICE!  We took about an hour's worth of pictures and she did a great job.  The kids are always little boogers, but she always manages to get some cute pictures.  We didn't realize it until it was time to print the pictures, but we didn't get any good single shots of Luke.  So, she had to take his on another day when she was able to take Vanessa's kids' pictures.

We had a great Christmas this past week.  I will post some pictures of that soon.  Santa must have thought that our kids were especially good this year, because he pretty much unloaded half of his load at our house.  Hey, Christmas is a big deal for this family.  Jon Mark and I did try to place emphasis on the true meaning of Christmas.  The FHE prior to Christmas day was spent talking about Jesus and we read Luke 2.  Each of the kids gave a "gift" to Jesus.  Joshua gave the gift of gratitude, Mercedes gave the gift of kindness, Luke copied his brother and sister, and Hannah has no clue what is going on.

We also told them to select one of their old toys to give away to someone who could use a toy.  That's a tradition I want to keep going because it cleans out the toy room a little, and it teaches a great lesson as well.  I think that it is a little more difficult for Joshua to give away his toys than it is for Mercedes.  She doesn't hesitate at all.  Joshua will get there eventually.

I must have been good this year as well.  Jon Mark got me some men's sweats (so that I wouldn't always take his), a make-up palette, and a spa day to enjoy with Michelle.  I am excited to take advantage of that.

This year has been good to our family.  I am amazed with gratitude to the Lord for the many blessings He has sent our way.  Hannah is in good health, Jon Mark was able to be blessed with a job.  The generosity of parents is helping us to get our own home faster, and our children are safe and happy.  I am one lucky woman!

My mom jumped into the photo shoot, too!

You are soooo beautiful! I don't know how to spell it the way Mercedes says it, but be sure to pronounce beautiful that way.
