Jon Mark was sworn in today by Ray Johnson, a family friend of the McAvoy's. He has always been so kind to our family and we were excited that he agreed to administer the oath to Jon Mark. Today marks one more step to finishing this law degree journey. Now that Jon Mark has taken the oath, once he receives his bar number, he will be allowed to practice law in the state of AZ. I am so proud of him!
My mom was able to be there, and my inlaws joined us via the internet. They are on a cruise right now. Technology is pretty amazing.
The hand you see in the picture is mine. I am holding up the phone so that my inlaws could see Jon Mark and Ray. They were watching via Facetime.
I really wanted a family picture to mark this monumental day in our lives. My mom was a GREAT photographer, but, with four kids (and a husband who closes his eyes apparently), getting a family picture is easier said than done.
(Joshua looks like a zombie, Hannah isn't looking, Luke is impersonating a chicken, Jon Mark's eyes are closed, and Mercedes has a "popeye" grin going on).
