I need to add pictures. Consider that a priority next time I have a computer... But, for now, I just wanted to add a few things to this little blot of mine.
1. I always want to remember how cute it is when Mercedes sings every song to the radio even if she doesn't know the words. By the way, the radio must be almost blaring or else she "can't hear it!" Or, so she says... I also always want to remember how she gets herself all rolled up from her crown on her head to the plastic high heels on her feet. When she feels dressed up enough, she comes out of her room on the hunt for one of her brothers to be her prince. Usually, her brothers are less than cooperative, and she feels very dejected. She says to me, "I just want someone to be my prince, someone who will dance with me." I comfort her by telling her that her daddy will be happy to be her prince when he gets home. And, wouldn't you know that that handsome groom of mine is always willing to dance with his little princess. There are a few special people in her world and her daddy tops the list.
2. I want to remember how Joshua suggested tonight that we pray for Mercedes' canker sore. I also want to remember how he so graciously gave his brother and sister a "cargo train ride" using a box pulled by a string. One more thing... I want to remember how he came home from school and told me that another kid in his class was trying to get him to make fun of another kid but that he wouldn't do it and he ignored the boy who was pressuring him.
3. I want to remember how Luke loves to snuggle when he wakes up, well, any time really, but especially when he wakes up. I want to remember how his breath smells when I snuggle him. It sounds weird, but I love it. I want to remember how onery he gets when he wants something and will virtually try everything to get it. What? You thought placing the step stool in the mudroom behind a closed door was good enough? Ha!! He can open the door, fingure out how to unfold the thing. Climb on top of the counter and ever so quietly eat all of the candy in the cupboard so that he is no longer hungry for any sort of nutritious food. Yeah, that's my boy. The quiet mischievous little lad who is constantly keeping me on my toes. Btw- said step stool is now in the most inconvenient place possible, the basement. I also love how Luke sings songs with Mercedes. Today in the car he was asking me to play the song "follow the prophet". I don't know why, but my kids want to listen to church music ALL the time in the car.
