Merry Christmas, Luke

We had a special treat in the beginning of December. My mom got to come to Ohio to spend some time with us. We didn't tell the children. I picked her up from the airport while Jon Mark stayed home with the kids. They were supposed to be sleeping by the time we got back so that they could wake up to Grandma. But, they were still awake. So, we went to plan B. I turned on the song Who Let The Dogs Out, because that is a song they associate with my parents and by mom made her entrance into the kids' bedroom. They were completely stunned at first. But I was surprised at how quickly they got over the shock and went into show-off mode with Grandma. They were super excited and super happy to have her there. It was a great surprise for them.

While she was here, she let them open a few presents. I didn't get pictures of the other gift openings, but Luke was REALLY happy with his present. He was supposed to wait until Christmas, but a ball knocked into the package and it lit up and made noise. Which of course, attracted the attention of an almost two year old, and so it was opened right away. Joshua and Mercedes really like it, too!
