Pix Part Two

So, here are some more of the family pictures. Can I say, I just love the one of Mercedes topless. It's just so, so... Mercedes. I don't know what else to say about it, it just captures that little drama queen so well. Did you know that today she pretty much cried because she hated the shoes I chose to wear to church. I guess she thought they were ugly. In her topless picture, she is upset because she had peed in her dress. I took it off, we were borrowing it from Leyla, and she was mad about it.

I swear Leyla will think twice about letting us borrow a dress for Mercedes again. I think Mercedes peed her dress because she saw Joshua peeing and wanted to do so also. I don't know... it just seemed a little too coinsidental for her to "go" so soon after Joshua had "gone". In her defense, she did say she had to go, I just thought she was being silly. My mistake. :(

Anyway, Luke is funny, he thinks he's old enough to do whatever his siblings are doing. He gets into a lot of trouble this way.

I can't even tell you how many times he has fallen down the stairs since we've been in Ohio. I keep the doors shut, but when Luke cries at the closed door, Mercedes will open in for him. So, I'll be doing the wash or in the shower thinking all is well and then I hear Luke laughing on the stairs. I approach cautiously, yet quickly, in hopes that I am able to save him from his self-inflicted doom. It's a careful balance. If I approach too quickly, I'll spook him. Then, he climbs as quickly as he can to get away from me, which always proves more quickly than he can handle--thus resulting in a fall. If I don't approach quickly enough, he laughs until he's too off-balanced to contain himself, thus resulting in a fall. Do you see the dilema? Why don't you tell Mercedes not to open the door? Duh! I've done that. Why don't you put up a baby gate? Uh, my kids have learned how to open the baby gate. Why don't you block said doorway? Now, that one may be a keeper. I guess I need to just get into the habit of blocking our door to the upstairs. I should have known this kid would cause trouble. Remember when I found him on top of the dresser when he was only about 10 months old? Yeah, he's got mad climbing skills. I'm totally jealous. Not really...

Let's see, what else can I write about while I wait for my pictures to upload... Jon Mark is doing well. This semester seems to be a breeze so far. He's taking a lot of night classes, so I see him a lot in the day time. He got an internship for a county prosecutors office. Having such an internship will be excellent if we end up needing/receiving a prosecutors job.

I'm good, in case anyone is wondering. I'm not sick yet, but I am tired. I think that's the first pregnancy symptom I ever feel. Life is good.
