I posted one more picture of Mercedes' arm. I still can't find the leg pictures. Oh well. Anyway--
Joshua started preschool again this week. He has a new teacher, who I have been impressed with so far. She sends home a daily report on each kid, which seems very thorough. Anyway, he comes home happier than he did last year, not that he was unhappy last year, he just seems to be enjoying it more so this year. I got some good pictures of he and Mercedes while we were waiting for the bus. Luke was inside napping.
I had quite a scare on the first day. Joshua somehow didn't get counted as being on the bus and so they weren't going to come by our house to drop him off. I got worried and called transportation and when I was put on hold for fifteen minutes and then disconnected, I had convinced myself that Joshua had been kidknapped. The wheels in my head started turning on how I was going to start my own investigation. I had worked myself up pretty good, and I was choking back tears. I don't know if that is being paranoid, pregnant, or normal, but I was worked up to say the least. Anyway, they did locate him and brought him home to me at 5:00. He was supposed to be home by 4:00.
Joshua told me that he heard someone call the bus driver and ask if Joshua was on that bus. The bus driver said "no, there is no Joshua on this bus, I would know if there was a Joshua on this bus" (as quoted from a five year old). I guess they called twice. Joshua said he didn't say anything because he didn't want to distract the bus driver and get into a traffic jam or crash. But, he said, "don't worry mom, I holding on tight so that they wouldn't be able to get me off of the bus to force me to go live with someone else." He told me that he was convinced that when they passed our neighborhood that they would make him live with another family. Poor kid. That breaks my heart.
Anyway, I was very thankful when it all turned out to be okay. I hugged and kissed him like there was no tomorrow.
I love the pictures of the two hugging. That wasn't staged. Oh, and the picture of the kids in their underwear is to show that my kids are constantly taking off their clothes. Just had to document for future embarrassment. HAHA! Joshua had me tape an empty carton of spaghetti to his back so that he would have a place to hold his sword (just like they did in real life, so I am told). I love it.

That seems like something Jon Mark would think of. I was confused at the box on his back at first, but then it all made sense.
Oh my goodness, that is so scary! I think most moms would be terrified. I am glad that he is ok. Poor guy. :(
