Easter was a blast. Joshua really gets into the holidays nowadays. He prayed many times that the Easter Bunny would bring him toys-- "not very expenisve toys like Santa brings, but not too inexpensive either--the right kind of expensive". The Easter Bunny brought him a shield and he was happy with that. It shoots discs--which, in case you didn't know, makes it really cool.
Mercedes received a dress-up dress with wings. But, the wings weigh the dress down, so she doesn't like it. I told her I would fix the wings so that she wore them like a back pack instead of having them be velcroed onto the dress. I think that will help. She was so excited about it until she tried it on.
Luke got bubbles, which his siblings spilled the moment it was opened. Argg!
We've also been trying to teach the true meaning of Easter. So, we rewatched the general conference talk by Elder Holland (I believe it's called, None Were With Him). And, I put together some matching games that had to do with the Lord's final days on the earth. I think it was a success.
Luke had no clue what was going on. But, Joshua woke up super early and woke up Mercedes and Luke. They found eggs around the house on Easter, but they also had an egg hunt at the church the day before. The pictures are from Saturday. In one of the pictures you'll see me in front of the kids in primary. I was asked to entertain the kids in the primary room singing songs while the YW hid the eggs. Well, they were soo hyper. I knew singing songs wouldn't work, so we had Sister McAvoy's bootcamp. It was a lot of fun for me as well as for the kids I think.
I feel awful that I didn't take a picture of Jon Mark. He was the photographer and I didn't think to ask him if he wanted me to take his picture. He's better at that than I am. I should be better at representing him on this blog.
On Sunday, I didn't even think about taking still pictures. I got video though. Mercedes wore her pretty dress that Mommom gave her and she thought she was so pretty. She wanted to wear it the next day too, but I wouldn't let her. Luke wore his handsome clothes that Jessica bought him. He looked so cute. Joshua was just in regular Sunday clothes. I should have gotten a picture.
