I'm too lazy for posting pictures... I'll get around to it later, I promise (but probably not today).
Well, we've since made it home from the hospital and we're doing well. Grandma Haws has been a HUGE help and I don't know what I'd do if she wasn't here to help with the transition. She provides some stability for the kids and she has kept the house clean and running! We are so thankful for her.
Luke is growing. He went to his first doctor appointment today and he has regained his birth weight levels... so nursing is going well (or at least that part of nursing is going well--if only things weren't so sore).
Here's how Luke got to be named Luke. We (Jon Mark and myself... the only two people who should have a say in naming our children) were going to go with the name Micah for this baby. That is, after I had successfully convinced Jon Mark that Titan and Desmond were not in the running. We both liked Micheal but we didn't like how common it was. Micah sounds kind of like Micheal and isn't nearly as commonly used. But, Joshua wanted the name Luke. We like that name too (obviously) but we wanted to leave the option open for naming our future daughter Leia. We knew we couldn't have a Luke and a Leia for obvious reasons. Well, Joshua never budged. He referred to the baby as Luke and insisted on it being called Luke if it was indeed a boy. So, when the baby came out, Jon Mark and I looked at each other and determined that we now thought of him as a Luke, afterall, that is what he had been called consistently by his three year old brother. So, Luke he became and we like the decision.
Joshua said something funny in his prayer the other day. He said, "I'm thankful that my mommy came out of Grandma Haws's belly because I needed a mommy and I didn't have one yet."
I need to go. I hear a baby crying. I'll conclude with this summary... We're all well. I'm a bit sore all over but that is all. We're happy and well.

Luke, I love it! Oh, what a sweet baby. reading your birth story brings back way too many memories. I'm definately not to the point that I've forgotten and ready for another! :) How wonderful to have your mom there. That makes all the difference. I'm so happy for you!! Congrats!
So cute, we had the same concern about Leia, because we want to use Leah as a middle name in honor of a friend. We had a few people ask if we named Luke after Star Wars and we we like, um no, if anything, I would think the bible. People are funny. Can't wait to see more pictures of your little Luke.
