I can't believe that it has been 17 days since I last posted... the date has got to be wrong. I don't really have any amazing news to report. I still have a sinus infection! YUCK! I HATE IT WHEN I AM CONGESTED! My upper teeth start to hurt really bad because of the pressure and they feel like they're going to fall out with each step. I had teeth pain with my last sinus infection (which was only a few months ago, I might add!), and I thought I had like five new cavities. I didn't know sinus infection could cause weird things like teeth pain and bad breath! Don't worry, I'll be chewing gum and brushing extra hard until this thing passes.
Joshua is keeping me on my toes... he likes to climb on top of the counter and play with the microwave and the toaster over (the toaster oven is always unplugged). I don't let him play with the microwave, but I have found him up on the counter "dinging" the microwave a few times... and son, metal objects don't belong in there! He loves the way it dings, and he mimics it every time it does. We've had to put the stools in storage because that's what he has been using to get up on top of the counters.
I think Joshua is beginning to get a little jealous of his new sister. He's been acting up in violence recently, and yesterday he had to "spit up" over and over again because that's what the baby does. He has taken quite a liking to pacifiers, and he NEVER took to them even when he was a baby himself. He climbs into the baby crib quite often, and today he asked Jon Mark to burp him. So, today I decided that it's really important for me to give Joshua one on one time whenever Mercedes takes her nap. Today we played with playdough. He made a pretend birthday cake with pretend candles and had me sing happy birthday to him over and over. At one point he turned around and said, "sing, Grandma!" Except, neither of his grandma's were there... it was just me and him, but he was pretending that it was his birthday party and he wanted his grandma's to sing, too. It was cute.
Mercedes is asleep next to me right now making so many squeaky noises and occasionally she will just let out a laugh. Gas? Happy? Take your pick. It makes me smile whatever it is that makes her laugh that cute little belly laugh.

It is adorable that Joshua wants to get the same treatment as his baby sister. I think your idea of spending alone time with him will totally pay off. How cute that he was pretending grandma was there!
he is so funny!!! I just love him to peices!!! I want to come down and see u guys. i miss u guys so much!!
It's always a hard adjustment with a new sibling around. Bailey still gets a little jealous here and there, but it's so fun to see how close they are. Both your kids are the cutest!
