Funny Joshua

So, today I gave Joshua his cereal and sat him in his high chair to eat his breakfast. I went into the other room to feed Mercedes. The whole time I am feeding her, I hear Joshua saying, "Joshua is cooking." He's really into helping me cook lately, and so he likes to pretend to cook often throughout the day, so it wasn't anything new. When I was finished feeding Mercedes, I went into the front room and saw all that Joshua had done while he was "cooking". Milk and cheerios were everywhere and he was covered in the milk. Oblivious to the fact that he had done anything wrong, he looked up at me and with a smile said, "Look, Mommy, Joshua is cooking!" I replied, "Yes, I see that, but I think you're all done cooking now. Let's get this all cleaned up." I proceeded to begin the cleanup process when he stopped me momentarily with the following comment. "No, Mommy! Go away, Mommy!" I didn't go away and so he continued to plead with me in a very frustrated tone. He shook his head and said, "Mommy, go away! Go potty or something!"

Last night, Jon Mark and I took the kids on a walk. Joshua is really into calling people by their first names, that includes Jon Mark and I. Jon Mark tries to discourage this by correcting him and asking him to please call us mommy and daddy, not Ralae and Jon Mark. On our walk Joshua turned to me and said, "hello, Olay!" Jon Mark corrected him, "No, Joshua, call her Mommy, not Olay." Joshua looked like he understood. He turned to me and said, "Okay--Hello, Not Olay!"

He's so silly.

The pictures are from when we went to the zoo last week with Jon Mark. Joshua LOVED riding on the camel. The monkeys were also going CRAZY! I've never seen them be so funny. In The first picture, Joshua has a bruise in between his eyes. He and Bekah were jumping on the bed... need I say more?!
