Easter was great. I already recorded my thoughts and feelings about this holiday in my previous post. But, I thought I'd post a picture or two of Joshua hunting for eggs at our ward activity. He didn't really get the idea of hunting. Whenever he found one, he wanted to just sit down right there and eat the candy that came out of it. He didn't seem to grasp the concept that if he found more, he'd have even more candy to eat later. Oh well.
My sister Lindsay, my mom, and I all went to the tea party tax protest today. I was a little afraid to go because protesting, even peacefully, really isn't my thing. But, we made signs and I figured I'd go and support the cause. There were so many people there. Luckily, I wasn't approached by the news crew at all. I don't think Joshua had a clue as to what was going on, but he clapped whenever the crowd clapped. He thought the clapping was great. But, it was a hard thing for him to sit through.
Finally, I have decided that abstract art is more my thing. Whenever I try to make something look realistic, I walk away feeling like a failure and I have a picture that ends up looking like this: (it's okay to laugh):
But, whenever I try abstract art, I feel relaxed and I typically like what I make. Here are some paintings that I just did while Joshua was napping:
