A dinner conversation...

There I am minding my own business, chewing my food when Joshua says out of the blue:
Joshua: Mom, when your old Mercedes and I are going to have you live in an old people tower.
Me: Why?
Joshua: Because that's what happens when old people get old. It's the kids job to drive them around and make sure that they have a nurse to live with them.
Me: Oh, well will you come visit me when I'm old?
Joshua: Yes, we will visit you every weekend.
Me: what if I can't talk anymore?
Joshua: Then Mercedes and I will teach you how to talk again.
Me: That's good.
Joshua: And if you break your legs and can't walk anymore, then I will pick you up and put you in a wheelchair and push you wherever I go. If there's any kind of problem, don't worry, Mercedes and I will solve it. Because that's what family is for, families help each other.

Me: Well, I'll probably miss everyone if I'm in a tower.
Joshua: I'll tell you what, so you won't be alone, I will make sure that Daddy is in the same tower. I'll even let you share a room, but there probably won't be enough room for you to sleep in the same bed, so he will be right next door. Or, you can share the bed but it will be very tiny like this (holds hands about three inches apart) okay?
Me: Okay.

Glad to know he's got it all figured out. :)
