As I wrote previously, this past month has been hard for the McAvoy family. From my stand point, I have felt a lot of the peace that the gospel brings when you lose someone you love. But, I have also been missing little Gavin a lot this weekend. I was a little upset that I didn't have any pictures of me holding him. I went over to my inlaws this past week and viewed some of their pictures. Luckily, they had one. So, below is a picture of me holding my nephew way back in November of last year. Michelle and Jaron were down for Thanksgiving, and it would be the first time Joshua and Gavin met in person (I say that because when I was pregnant, I often would hold Gavin on my belly so that he could "hug" his cousin. Joshua returned his hug with many powerful kicks. I LOVED those moments!). The other picture is of Joshua and Gavin sitting in their own little chair by the pool. My grandma asked me if Joshua and Gavin looked alike. Gavin looks soooo much like his daddy that I think I often overlooked the fact that they really do look similar. Joshua was a few months younger than Gavin, but they were still about the same size (again, Gavin looks sooo much like his dad, and Joshua looks so much like Jon Mark--a Larsen vs. a McAvoy). Besides Joshua's bigger than average head, and Gavin's bean pole genes, they do look a lot alike, I think. Anyway, I'll go ahead and sign off for now, but I just had to post these pictures after finding them. I LOVE my little boys.

Hey Ralae! I am so sorry for your family's loss. Ever since I read your blog I can't stop thinking about that beautiful baby boy! My Dad shared his experience when we lost Grayson. He said that he did not want to leave my brother at the hospital. He was devastated and asked for a blessing. After the blessing he felt the spirit so strong tell him that he could not give Grayson what he has now. Please let me know if I can do anything! I have been praying for your family! Love ya!
