Three Years!

Well, June 25th marks three years since our wedding day. I recently reread many journal entries that I had written when we had first started dating--hopefully, my descendants will be able to overlook the sheer mushiness of my writing and be able to gain something useful from the entries.

It's hard to believe that three years have flown by. It really doesn't seem like all that long ago when we went out on our first date (we played minature bowling and golf--with a child's plastic golf/bowling set, inside one of the buildings on BYU's campus--yes, we ended up having to go somewhere else because security kicked us out). Since that date, we've been married, graduated college, moved to AZ, and had a baby. Life's going good for us. Here's my top five reasons why I love being married to Jon Mark. He would be embarrassed if he knew I did this, but he doesn't read blogs so he'll never know :) ...

5. He's patient when I'm dramatic

4. He finds humor in all situations

3. He's a wonderful, playful father, loving and understanding husband, and a great provider for our family (okay, so that's three reasons combined into one... oh well).

2. He's very attractive in many ways

1. He understands the gospel, and lives it well

Here's to a happy forever!

June 18th is Jon Mark's birthday. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from his childhood. Happy Birthday, Jon Mark!

Hey Relae! Thanks for stopping by on the VH blog. Your blog is way cute. I visit often... Baby Josh is adorable! I can't believe you are a mommy :) Lots of big milestones for you these past three years...I'm happy to see things are going well for you. To answer your question about Obama, I know he is not the perfect candidate but he is closer to my personal believes than McCain-- Given that the constitutional laws on gay marriage and abortion (which I clearly oppose) are not going anywhere anytime soon, there are many other very important issues that matter most such as: economy, healthcare, education, the war in iraq, oil crisis, etc. On all these issues I prefer Obama's approach to resolve these issues. Anyways, here is a link to one of my older blog entries that may answer more for you ;) http://viegas-haws.blogspot.com/2008/04/political-thought.html Feel free to leave a comment or a thought. See you soon on the blog :)
