Crawling/Scooting

So, Joshua is now very mobile. He gets into everything. I guess it is now time to baby proof my apartment. Any suggestions?

He also kind of said his first word the other day. I don't know if it really counts because I think he was just mimmicking me. He had bitten my shoulder and I said, "No! That hurts mommy." Right after that he said, "No!" He did it in the same exact tone as I did and everything. That's kind of sad, his first word, if it counts, was no. I hope that doesn't mean I say it all of the time!

Joshua really is at a fun stage. He is just so cute and fun to interact with, but here are my top five reasons why the crawling stage isn't all it's cracked up to be...

5. His dirty feet and stomach shout out to the world that my floor isn't as clean as it ought to be.

4. I find myself following him all around the house picking up all of the things he gets out.

3. My feet have constant companions trying to hold onto them for dear life.

2. His head gets all sorts of new bumps and bruises.

1. It makes going to the bathroom very difficult when a baby is scooting towards the toilet because he thinks he is invited to the potty.

How fun! Don't worry to much about how dirty he looks he's not the only baby looking dirty! When Casey was at that stage she looked filthy and it was just motivation for me clean the floors. Just watch out for little objects that can he can put in his mouth. Casey seems to be getting out of that stage finally! Love you!

He is so cute scooting around the floor. I like to see him and Bekah interact. I can't wait until she starts to move around more. Or maybe I can. Enjoy this time before it is gone.
